Zanne and Andy’s wedding last month at the four star Ardencote Hotel was a truly international affair, such fun to coordinate and we even racked up some new strings to our bow… Cornhole was a whole new experience, keep reading for more on that!
On the Day Coordination
When they first contacted us to enquire about our on the day wedding coordination service, Brit Andy and American Zanne were living in Germany, planning a move to London and a wedding in Birmingham all within a few months… talk about a lot on your plate.
We of course were delighted to help with the wedding side of things and began by taking all of their supplier details to create a clear timeline of the day, confirming all details with everyone involved and answering queries along the way, leaving Andy and Zanne with just their international guest list to look after. With guests coming from the USA, Germany and Belgium to name just a few … all in the middle of a global pandemic, that was a task in itself.

The morning of 2nd September 2021 came and while the bridal party were getting ready and Zanne was having her first look photographs taken, we got straight into the set up for the day. Bride and groom were really keen to make the most of the outdoor pavilion for their ceremony but with the weather keeping us on our toes until the last minute, the decision was made at 10am to go for it; and the Lakeside area was dressed. Zanne had spent such a incredible amount of time on all the little details and had enjoyed making the majority of the decor herself. Part of our responsibility for the day was to style the rooms and bring all these things together to reflect her vision for the day.

Wedding Entertainment
For guests entertainment while enjoying their after dinner drinks, Zanne and Andy had arranged some lawn games – Bubbles for the younger guests, Quoits and Cornhole. Likening it to our childhood experience of bean bag toss, the Cornhole platforms were set up on the lawn with the other games. Until one of the American guests found us and said they’d had a little giggle at us setting it up incorrectly, when we promptly moved the platforms to opposite one another rather than next to each other before coffee was served and the guests made their way out to play.

Zanne and Andy had an amazing day, the numerous hurdles that came up along the way were cleared, the sun shone and we left Ardencote with a full dance floor and lots of smiling faces.
Special thanks goes to Veronika J for the beautiful photography. Also to Zanne and Andy for allowing us to share – Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together.
