Building on years of friendship and our own thriving businesses, we decided in 2019 to bring together all of our skills and experience to create The Wedding Bubble - a luxury wedding planning service based in the heart of the country here in Birmingham. The partnership blends Amy’s exceptional organisational skills and Michelle’s eye for design to create stylish weddings for couples without the luxury of time. A real passion for us starting The Wedding Bubble was to provide an open and honest service to couples at a time when they can feel overwhelmed.
Based on our own experiences of getting married as young professionals, we completely understand the time investment needed when planning a wedding and how this isn’t always achievable for couples with demanding careers.
Amy
Birmingham born and bred, I am a real city girl… I love being close to the city and have never been more than a few miles away for both work and home.
Before entering the wedding industry, I had worked my way up the corporate ladder in HR which was incredible. However, craving a change of direction I launched my own wedding styling business which has grown and developed into something I am really proud of and continues to be successful. Taking that one step further here I am on my next adventure with The Wedding Bubble and loving the new direction this business is taking me in.
I have been married for 15 years and have many happy memories from the day, the funniest being me and my husband cutting the cake and noticing that the venue had left complimentary glasses of champagne on the table only to find they were actually glasses of what tasted like washing up liquid that had been placed there for show!
Michelle
My background in marketing cemented my love for design and eye for detail. Managing large scale projects from concept to completion whilst keeping track of budgets and multiple suppliers has stood me in good stead for coordinating weddings for clients of The Wedding Bubble.
I love working behind the scenes, engaging with all of the elements involved in designing a wedding, creating style boards and building relationships with suppliers we are proud to propose to our clients.
As I approach my 12 year wedding anniversary, my happiest memory from my own big day is the guests erupting into laughter as I picked lint from my almost husband’s jacket lapel as the officiant looked on disapprovingly as he was mid service!
